Point taken. To be honest I'm normally a stickler for buoyancy aids. However the day was so calm and the lagoon is only about 3' - 4' deep at high tide, we decided we'd be ok. I am a pretty experienced whitewater kayaker and would not put myself or my family at risk.Rich
