Just found this forum - looks very handy! Acquired by nearly new HSE last week, a 2008 model on a 57 plate. Delighted with it apart from the performance of the integrated bluetooth. I hear incoming sound just great, but those at the other end of the call tell me I am so distorted they can barely understand "yes" or "no", never mind have a conversation. Having had a quick scan down the topics, I see lots of bluetooth related stuff, but nothing that sounds like this problem. The handset I have is a Sony Ericsson P1i, which according to the Landrover web site is fully supported. Any ideas much appreciated.(57) 2008 HSE

How up to date is the info your looking at ? When was the handset approved by LR ?
It maybe you need to have the PTI software upgraded or maybe the handsets.
LR also list the handsets firmware version they tested with... worth checking out as it can make a difference.

Try using another phone and see if the problem is still there ...it could be something as simple as a faulty microphone ( housed in the little vent on the right in the light consul -directly above the gearstick)G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

thanks, have checked phone sw against above link and yes I have the stated version. Will be surprised if the problem is the handset as I use it with other bt devices, but you never know so I will try a different one. Then I guess back to the dealer to investigate the PTI sw / microphone / ???.(57) 2008 HSE
It may be something as simple as having the volume to loud on the stereo.
When I use the bluetooth I need to turn it down to stop distortion and echoing for the person I'm talking to.

Alas no, not a volume issue, have tried it at very low volume and still the same. Also have tried 2 other handsets, again, no difference. Guess it is off to the dealer.(57) 2008 HSE
I had a similar "issue" with an Audi A4, was nothing more than centre air vent pointed up (away from my face) and was wind noise over the microphone. Dealer was very smug when he got in, moved the vent and said - try it now Sir "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
