nice reply from Commerical Services, sometimes it does pay to complain
Thks and indeed was over the moon with the reply , I hated having a moan but then thought what about of someone whos gone in there who’s in a wheelchair , how do they get on
By the sounds of it the 3 x people that left or maybe sacked might have been the issue ????
Just so nice that not just me but everyone who can’t get up the stairs will be helped and there’s someone in management that listened to little old me
made my day

Our local tip has all been redeveloped so you now drive up a ramp to the bin height and throw it over a 3ft wall
Need a permit for any trailer bigger than a lunch box
Sounds a good idea

On the Wirral we have to have two permits, one for a trailer and another for certain types of waste like rubble etc. No cost but you only get so many visits per year, which they are supposed to tick off the permit.
I've seen guys in vans etc getting challenged loads, but even turning up wearing 'work gear' with a roof rack full of old timber and a trailer full of rubble from the various bits we've done in our new house I've never been challenged. I just reached the conclusion that I don't look manly enough to be a builder D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

been here for years..trying to stop abuse by builders etc....trailers restricted 2
The Highland Council one is use is 10am - 5pm with half an hour for lunch. It’s a one man thing.
The Inverness one is 9.30am - 8pm, no lunch break, but it’s further away and normally very busy.
Strange how opening hours are so different around the country.
Noticing on my trips up the A9, you don’t need a visit the local “recycling centre”, head north of Perth around 4pm, local tradesman start in Lay-by 1 and head north, as each green bin is filled just move on to the next Lay-by.
Observed various plumbers, electricians, stopping, chippy etc, open side door, fill the bin, move on.
