I was told by a fellow D3 owner that i can change the MPH to KPH on the ODO and trip counter. But he was talking about confirmed and unconfirmed modules in the program. And this change was in the unconfirmed ones. How do i get these in my program/tool?

Quick newbie question.
I’m looking to buy one of these for my Disco - also wondering if I can scan my mates Disco for faults and clear some lights for him also?
After reading the GAP website, it reads to me that you can do the basics to do other vehicles? It’s just the enhanced stuff that’s locked to my own Disco?
It’s more so that I know I can help him out if we run into any problems on the lanes.
Also, just double checking that this tool does do the EGR ECU alteration for my 07 Disco?Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

Yes you can read / clear faults and look at live values on your mates disco without licence.
You will have full capabilities on you own licensed vehicle, ie CCF updates and flashing etc. Think you may have to pay a bit extra for 07 EGR patch but not 100% sure on that.Stu

for the EGR ecu flash do you need to replace parts or is it just a software patch?formerly Disco3Ben

You blank them and then apply the ECU patch buddy. Blanking them is easy.Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

Hard Reset
Not wishing to hijack the thread but can someone walk me through doing a hard reset using my IId tool? I did it the manual way and my clock on dash returned but when I went to it a couple of hours later it had disappeared again even though the battery was being charged by a Ctek charger. Have had the IId for a while but still an absolute novice with it!

4.7.11 All ECUs
Vehicle Reset (L322-10, L319, L320)
This routine will send a reset or reboot command to all ECU’s. It is equivalent to a soft reset.
Usage
On L319-04, it should be used to restore the clock on the instrument pack ECU (--:-- displayed). It can also be used to solve other unusual issues.
Note : This function will return all user settings (radio station etc) to factory default.
Hope that helps
