Instrument binnacle back light
Hi,
I have an odd one...
I turn my lights on and the instrument binnacle is lit, after about 10 mins the light goes out. If i thne turn the lights off then back on the back light comes back on again ???
Is there a simple way to check the bulb/replace the bulb?
Richcheers

Have you tried operating the instrument lights dimmer recently? I guess its a variable resistor of some kind and may have a dry / dirty patch?
Give it a good waggle up and down Richard

so i've waggled the adjuster and it now seems worse. It goes off after a couple of mins, and similar if i turn the lights off and back on. Is there a relay or resistor behind the gauges or could it be the switch?
How easy is it to get to the back of the gauges?cheers

maybe a replacement headlight switch unit. (note if you have front fogs, auto lights, HIDs they are different)
or bypass the adjuster if you know how

well, it's up to it's tricks again, keeps going off on the way into work, but stays on on the way home. Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove the switch?cheers

to remove the light switch, you grab the beige/black leather surround and pull it off.
It is obvious what to do next (and I can't remember )
