And it's just like my D3 was - only better. iPod connection built in which is great. TV, DAB radio, better phone software, screens will go in headrests soon with DVD and iPod video connectivity coupled into vehicle system. Looking for one of the little faces that shows me as a proper smug b*****d but none suits really! Honestly Marge, I wouldn't have done it if I thought you would find out!

Thanks Promitheus, not sure what make screens will be but the chap doing the job works on some very expensive motors so won't be fitting rubbish. Once the interface is available properly it will be integrated with front screen and controls. He won't fit an interface until it has been out for at least 6 weeks so that the bugs are ironed out. Honestly Marge, I wouldn't have done it if I thought you would find out!

the Rear Audio controls are apparently being removed and only put on if you have the DVD entertainment pack. (It IS in most of the existing D4 HSE's presently) You can't have the entertainment pack AND the locking rear diff due to the overall weight of the vehicle with both of those components added.
I Want a Locking rear Diff, and the rear audio control, but I don't want the in built DVD player/headrest screens etc
So if the aftermarket jobby that's fitted is able to have the rear audio controls, then perhaps that's the way to go
mmmm additionally, I wonder if the wiring would still be in all the doors for the rear Audio controls, but just the control panel (or probably the whole doorcard) needs replacing to connect them back up....?
Another thing to add to the mix..... Bodsys Brake Bible

Hello Microplant,
Am very interested in the screens you mention. Just so I'm clear your guy will fit two x screens, DVD player and video in from iPod all controlled via the touchscreen ? Do the screens come with IR headphones for sound ?
I'm keen to go down this route myself so keep us posted !

Hi Microplant,
I'd also be interested in details of the system and the chap who fits them.

How cr9ppy is that?
Sod it. £47k and no rear audio controls? They're having a laugh. I never was convinced the D4 HSE is worth the money. This just confirms it.
