Leaving for Moz!

I’m leaving for Mozambique on Vryday, anyone else going that way possible during that time? This question is probably directed to deondef since he went there last year, is sand driving permitted in Mozambique (near Inhambane) and any good diving spots?

Paindane has excellent diving/snorkeling - well known for wale shark encounters. It is in the Quinjata Bay / coconut bay area very close to Inhambane.

Beach driving is not permitted, although most of the resorts have special permission to drive on the beach WITHIN THE DESIGNATED AREAS . Be very careful to drive from one resort to the other on the beach as the local cops love to catch you in between and a hefty spot fine is issued - up R2000. Big Cry

When a sign indicates - "sandy road - no trailers allowed" go for it even with trailer and/or boat as these are the roads that the D3 love and lesser vehicles get stuck Rolling with laughter

enjoy every sandy, sunny moment Thumbs Up

Thanx Deondef, will do so, must say I’m very tempted to drive on the beach and take the risk of a R2000 fine, although it’s a lot of riks-dollars.
