Re: Load space cover storage

I came across the following by chance. The load space cover when removed is large & takes up a lot of room, well the guys at LR thought of this too, if you fold the second row of seats down you will see a black plastic tee stud sticking out of the outer 2 seats at the bottom, when the seats are lowered down you have a gap, if you look on the body of the load space cover you will see two slots, these line up with the studs on the seats, push it over the studs & hey presto the gap after the seat is filled & the floor is completely flat.
Genius I'm off to look at that

Curry hooks, as discussed earlier in this thread

It's in the lower glove box... someone posted a picture but I can't find it.
If you open the lower box there are a couple of 'ridges' at either end which you can loop the carrier bag over.
There are also some 'cut outs' in the boot space for hanging carrier bags.
If only newbies read the threads they are posting in, or used the search...

For those who fly fish, the loadspace cover makes a good fly rod carrier too. Reels lay nicely in the top "tray" of the cover and a bungee cord between headrests hold rod tips. Can fit lots of fully rigged rods up to 10'. I also bungee the exposed portion of the retractable cover up to the body of the cover, so coolers and rubbermaids full of gear slide in and out under it without catching.

Definitely going to try this out. I do an 800 mile journey about 4 times a year and it would be good to be able to sleep in the back of the car. The only thing that has stopped me so far as been the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row seats. Had been looking at using some sort of plywood contraption, but hopefully this will work. Cheers for that.

I could be wrong, mine might be damaged and have gained functionality due to misalignment, but I think it may already have that designed into it.
Fold the hard section back under the roller and press it upwards at the longer end ... mine seems to latch into place and stays there. Usually it does this when I've manoeuvred a tall box around in the boot and am then trying to grab the cover so i can hide what's in the boot.
