Are these the correct fitment for the D4 3.0TDv6 engine? They are supposed to be equivalent to LR013148, yet the internal diameter at 32mm is too small to go over the plastic centre on the oil filter housing.
I found this issue last night after changing oil and removing the old filter, which has a 38mm centre. Pictured below is a Bosch filter (right) that I had to fit instead and the supposed Mahler filter. You can see the size differences of the centres, but the filter body appears to be the same size.

I use that Mahle filter. It is a tight fit but does go on. I also use MANN-FILTER Oil Filter HU826X.D1 300Tdi - gone

Will it push over the plastic centre? The white part has some give, but I would be worried about damaging the plastic centre part. Mine already has a small split and probably needs replacing soon.

Just had exactly the same on my FFRR - didn't want to risk it and it was the most expensive from ECP; ordered genuine LR instead. Quite annoyed - make it the right flipping size!

Yes it fits! The white plastic ends of the Mahle filter seem quite stretchy and have always fitted snugly over the hard plastic of the filter housing. I've never felt I had to force it.D1 300Tdi - gone

If you look closely at a genuine LR filter it will have Mahle written on it, or at least it did have. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I've just changed mine, I've always used Mahle, they will fit ok they just need pushing in. It can when others can't,

I've had wrong size Bosch filter sent to me for three different cars now, seems there is something wrong with their catalogue system. Seat BMW and LR.Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
Thanks for the replies. I will try to force the Mahle filter on at my next change, which will be about 12 months. (This is my intermediate change between my annual Indy service.) I will probably look at getting a spare housing, as I do not think they are that expensive.
I could never remember if Mahle or Mann made the filters for Land Rover, so will try to remember that nugget of information.

Mann are the genuine LR OEM for the D4 3.0 yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
