Sadly I had a less positive experience.
Ordered a part (large top half of central console) and the wrong part was sent, also very large.
When I called I was told to return the wrong part at my expense, and they wouldnt send the new one until they recieved it back. I understand them not sending the right part out till they had the wrong one back, but it would have cost me a fortune to send.
I didn't bother and still have the wrong part in my garage

Afternoon all!
Unfortunately we've been having issues with eBay - due to selling items outside of eBay. No that's how business works.
It'll all be resolved within 7 days after the suspension has ran over.
Just a quick one to let you all know we are here and still trading!
Thanks to you all for your support and to Ebay!

if I've understood what you're saying ... anyone on here who posts something on fleaBay AND on here but sells it on here would potentially fall foul of same "rule" ?

I will say it again EBay just getting too big for their boots.
Example: selling through EBay a buyer wanted our address to view, in my sons case 4 no tyres. Not unreasonable the buyer asked for the address and a mobile again not unreasonable. EBay warned both son and buyer by email about trading outside of EBay. Purchase was made all within rules. He is a trader not only using Ebay we buy and sell MOD kit, people know us but they are becoming too heavy. They believe the world trades around EBay, not so!
MMJ happened to be very close to my daughter we have bought many items from them and sold many items to them. We do not use EBay to purchase because we know them from this forum, simpleD3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
D3 4.4 V8 Zambezi silver
D3 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue
D3 2.7 (gone) Tonga Green
D3 4.4 V8 LHD Tonga Green

And yet on two occasions when my OH has reported traders to Ebay for breaking their sale rules (usually to avoid paying their fees) they have taken next to no interest.

I ordered a Torque converter for my D3 MY 2008 from Metal Monster Junk.
After a lot of trouble it finally arrived.
Mechanic installed it it it seems to work fine.
After even more trouble a return shipment of my old TC was arranged.
Have a confirmation that it arrived safely.
Now the big problem is that the refund £ 75 is not paid to me.
I have sent many e mails, I have talked to Bob and other persons in the company, but no money.
And the friendly Harriet has quit working.
So this is my experience of Metal Monster Junk.
What to do?
Have someone else had problems with them?

Hardware17 - Anything advertised on eBay and 'elsewhere' is technically fine, unless the sale then goes through outside of eBay at which point you are in breach of their rules. Madness I know, imagine then having 2500+ items in your shop and having to be very careful at how you word anything.
If a customer is interested in buying an engine from ourselves at £2250/3000 and would like a chat about the 'ins and outs' etc then it is to all be typed out via eBay message. I have happily spent hours on the phone with folks in the past to answer and questions and shed light on any doubt there may be. Having to type it out over eBay is madness, having said that they are THE online auction site and have no governing body to my knowledge.

Just to stick my two pennath in.
I purchased my disco 3 in July.
The car was impeccably maintained and had wanted for nothing, but sure enough within a week of acquiring it things started to go wrong!
Warning lights and suspension faults appearing... All posted on this forum and with some fantastic responses.
I contacted mmj initially just to confirm it was as been informed on here steering calibration, it was initially confirmed by Russ and four wheel alignment and recalibration later (along with wear sensor which decided to wear through on short journey over) was all done very quickly and at very very competitive prices.
Then last month I had a rattle from engine - a trip over to mmj and a look over again by Russ and straight in and idler tensioner replaced an hour later away off home.
I personally endorse the shear honesty and no nonsense pricing that Bob ((Who i have yet to have the pleasure of meeting) but I take his employees as an extension of his exceptional service offered and great prices to match, and sometimes things can go wrong and I'm sure once aware of this all will be done to ammend the situation.
So all I'm saying is keep it up guys, I for one will be returning (PROBABLY sooner rather than later!)
and thank you again
Andy

Hairy47 - Thank you for your support and kind words - We do try and heck, put some hours in!
As a growing company a few things have clearly been overlooked / missed and we are doing our best to resolve these and to continue to look after customers both abroad, local, through eBay, word of mouth and last but certainly not least, you guys on the forums!

The PM from Bob at MMJ said they were going to pay back my deposit the next day.
Do not know what to think, but so far no money has arrived.
