Might this be an diff lock feature?

Nice to know!
I found this on the lrchroniclepub site

"You can manually lock both the tranfer case and the rear locker with the range lever on the right hand side of your console.
Push the lever back to "low range" once and the transfer case diff. indicated locked on the 4x4 info screen. Push it back a second time and the rear diff. indicated locked on the 4x4 info screen.
So you can manually over ride the system if you want."

I have tried it and didn`t get it to work! According to the tread (link)
the guy who posted it seem to not making it work on the 2 try!
Nice if it worked!

In case clicking links is not for you...

"OK guys, before I mislead you further I got my dealer to tell me what the heck we did the night I picked mine up. He does not recall doing what I described in my post. Either I was smoking some good stuff or I was so excited to be picking the thing up I was dreaming. I will figure out what I was looking at. I swore as we were sitting in the parking lot not moving we were able to get the center diff and rear locker to lock and indicate such on the 4x4 info screen. Going to drive me crazy now. I apologize for now."
