End June, shade under 3 weeks jolly planned back to E Finland via Poland and Baltics, up to the top, bit of seeing the sights up there then back down the spine of Sweden, ferry from Gothenburg to Kiel and then home. Will be about 6,000 miles and 11 countries.

Not sure about other countries but here in Poland the little stones you refer to with the cross on top are used to mark land boundaries. There should be 4 of them to each plot of land - obviously in each corner.
Great road trip and right up as always. Followed your baltic trip last year very closely especially as you probably passed within 500m of my front door.[/quote]

Would also make sense, although this was W of the Oder.
Off through your part of the world in just over 6 weeks. Zgorelec to Warsaw, up to Suwalki & then up to Riga. May visit Stalag Luft III on the way.
