I'm confused... how do you pick up the wrong nozzle in the 1st place ??
Even with all the advertising crap they put on them these days, they still say diesel on them - be they black, blue, red, white, pink or whatever colour the petro company decides that month related to which fuel comes out of it...
Saying that... sorry to hear your problem and hope it all pans out OK

easily done if youre driving a petrol car for a few days and swap to diesel and not thining... Nearly done it a couple of times but fortunately remembered in time.
Agree 100% it should be impossible to put the wrong nozzle in the wrong vehicle.... wouldnt take much for them to 'key' the nozzles, they could even do it in a way that they were backward compatible with older vehicles... not rocket science. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

Got my D3 SE back after having the tank removed, drained and various bits flushed......no parts needed replacing. Still cost £250 including fuel for flushing !
I won't be doing that again
LR Assist haven't billed me for the recovery ....... yet?!? Their small print suggests they might, but I won't be chasing them for an invoice

Paul. I wish I had thought about removing the fuel pump fuse. I wouldn't have had the £470 bill. I shudder with the the thought of misfuelling everytime I refuel. I really do have to think twice. Its down to having both petrol and diesel vehicles.
Glad my misfortune last year prompted you to read the old thread. It probably saved you £200. D3 Buckingham Blue SE Auto
