I got my D3 from Stratstone/Merlin in Nottingham. They didn't show me the manual handbrake release procedue either.
BTW: how many nottingham based D3 owners do we have here? I'm guessing at least three. Anyone fancy a pint?

I really don't think that the emergency handbrake release procedure needs to be a part of the dealer handover. It is, after all, covered in the Owner's Manual......but who reads those?

i find it discusting that you picked the car up with no fuel in it, when i collected my vehicle it was full to the brim with diesel and no charge for it either.

I got the car at an excellent price, and I can't help feeling deep down that they made an error with the deal, hence no fuel and no customer follow through after the sale.

Mine had enough (barely) to get me home. It was my only quibble with the selling dealer really. Mind you, I'd screwed him to the bone on price, so couldn't really complain. Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles
