Camper is great if you want to keep on moving, we spent 3 weeks in US traveling across the mid-west. Also with own UK sized across Europe and Eire.
Now with tin tent, means D3 comes on holiday with us! We now park up in a central spot and prefer to drive around in the D3, this will include a trip to the highlands where we do not intend to drag the tintent everywhere.
If retired maybe a different decision but while still working a lot of money parked up for very long periods not been used. Although nice for day trips to New Forest and Dartmoor, so it really is down to your personal choice.
Going up to the NEC on 14th.October for the main annual show.
Had a Barcelona for four years and loved it changed last year to a Swift Elegance 645 and this makes the Barcelona appear cheap and not as good quality, Swift also tows a lot better than the Barcelona and has a proper in board water tank. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Might be worth speaking to Phill and Hannah Spurge at France Motorhome Hire - they are friends of ours and are based just South of Paris in Burgundy.
They have a fleet of around 30 motorhomes of varying sizes and are quite particular about standards of their vehicles and will offer advice and assistance - they would happily hire to you and do (typically at the end of the season) sell some of their ex-rental vans at around the two year old mark...
