Having had the disco just a few days I was wondering just how low the MPG was really going to be in real life.
Well after my usual drive to work and back which is:
2 miles stop start traffic.
24 miles Motorway
3 miles dual carriage way with a few lights and roundabouts.
Return journey in reverse!
Well I'm pleased to report 34.7mpg for the journey...... is that what you'd expect? (better than I was hoping!)
On the motorway cruise control set to about 75.....

Think you might find the cars brain is lying to you by 4-5 MPG, still a fair result though!
Sorry just read yours is "manual", you get better MPG than us autos

Its good - in my experience it occasionally happens, light winds, even throttle no hills. I have had 36 mpg over 130 miles on the motorway but short trips in hilly home environs I have had as little as 16 mpg

The figures I have just quoted are actual using RoadTrip app.
I find that my trip computer gets the mpg wrong - it's usually pessimistic contrary to many others experience

I'm recording via phone app:
Urban - 27 (trip Comp 30 -31)
Combined - 31.6 (Trip Comp 34)
This sticking mainly to the speed limits and my usual driving technique!
More than happy with that 8) Mine is an 07 Auto and the only way to improve on that is to have some manual control of the auto box like Volvo or Scanny Trucks. Its all in the grip of the Tyre Fitters hand!

Have you tried using your auto box in manual mode yet.
Good for a few more mpg.
It will not engage 6th gear on auto until around 56-57mph but will engage on manual at 41mph, at this speed in auto box it is still in 4th gear. D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Currently, hadn't checked for a while but the computer reckons 26.2MPG so roughly I'll subtract 3-4 MPG...
So it's doing about 22.2-23.2 MPG, it's a 3.0 twin turbo diesel 2.7 ton beast, could be worse. 2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial
