Ronp pointed them out to me last time round, I did bid the opening and totally forgot about them. Even at £200 its a good price if you really want them.

Just fishing really, as they are a good buy if they dont go too silly, and I have a local guy who will swap the MTRs over for £20 onto these rims so may then sell mine on.

How much are the Wranglers? I know someone with a set of pristine HSE alloys with bald tyres, you may get more for them selling them with the rims, as they can often go for big money on ebay in good condition - The pound is so weak that the germans and French are buying LR bits from ebay as they save a fortune on the price of wheels on the continent.

trying to get as much as possible to be honest. Andy quotes £166 each on the MTR, so trying to bridge the gap. The choice was Expo rack or MTR's.................. Whistle

I know this has been talked about already but I wonder if the MTR user club (or AJS Andy) can confirm the following:-

The Goodyear website shows the MTR is speed limited to 93 (P) or 99 (Q) (link below)

http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/reposit...page=sizes

Speed Ratings
All tyres carry a speed symbol in the form of a letter indicating the maximum speed for which the tyre is intended. The table below shows which speed goes with each letter.

Speed symbol Maximum speed km/h mph
N 140 87
P 150 93
Q 160 99
R 170 106
S 180 112

Joining the illusive MTR club very soon guys Whistle , just gotta rush n find minimum of two more black alloys, or I will resort to fitting them to the standard alloys temporary.

1st impressions on MTR's

Big thanks to Andy and the guys at AJS - 4 wheels off, Scorp's removed, MTR's on, pumped, balanced, brake pad detector re-plugged in, wheels put back on and back on the M25 in about half an hour - amazing service and good price (if not very bad jokes from Andy)!

First impressions having driven 58k on Scorp's since new........very good!!!
A little extra road noise but nothing that detracts from the character, smoothness or quality of the vehicle, in fact they make quite a nice "hummmmmm". Roadholding remains unchanged although I don't really throw the car around. The country lanes where I live can be deceivingly slippery but this morning the MTR's just inspired confidence - missus reckons the car looks "...quite mean..." Twisted Evil Thumbs Up Twisted Evil Thumbs Up Twisted Evil

I'll be off to find some nice muddy fields or backroads this weekend to splash around in and really see what difference they make!

Seasonal cheer and goodwill to you all!
