Quote:All-New Discovery is the first Land Rover to optimise airflow

air to the inner wheelarch from ducts in the front bumper.

Fascinating article AAA; thanks for posting the link.
I owned a new R50, then a new R53 and FS's design work was genius and his ability to fight off the accountants who tried and dilute the original design with cost cutting changes is well known. The R56 pretty much reflected what the accountants wanted, from loosing the costly clamshell bonnet to replacing glass wraps with plastic infill panels, it was all very sad to see.
FS was once quoted as saying "The most important job of a designer is to defend their designs from management".
I'd like to know his opinion on the current F56 et al.
I'd also love to see FS take over from McGovern. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
