New to me Disco4 LR4 base; trying to install hse nav

I have a 2010 disco4 base with the tiny screen display in the middle console. I bought a hse 2010 disco4 display, radio and cd unit. Looking to install but the wires aren’t plug play. Please help.

As you can see I installed it but it’s not plugged in because the plugs are not the same

Take a look at some of the D3 to D4 screen conversion threads, this gives quite a bit of info on what's needed and what you can expect to see (connectors, etc.).

Hope this helps

You'll need to do more than swap screen over Laughing

Here was my effort that is still going strong https://disco4.com/forum/d4-lowline-highli...t=highline

I have been following the thread you mentioned. The issue is that the amplifier on a disco3 in under the seat but the amplifier on my disco 4 is in the rear side

Read through FamousFives post, the whole dash loom requires replacing and if you had the option too, replace the main body loom as well. It’s a huge job and it took us a whole day to swap just the dash loom. There is simply no other way around it, your existing loom has wiring to the speakers from the head unit, the new head unit doesn’t have an amp so the amp for the higher end system would be located behind the right trim panel in the trunk. That requires power, MOST, aerial coax, CCF edits and much more.

To be honest it sounds like you under estimated how much effort is required for this. It’s very doable but the cost of extra parts may put you off.

looks like you are too far into the job to change your mind now, but the D4 sat-nav is absolute toilet.

Brodit mount and Google maps on your iphone every time! No comparison.

Good luck though!
