Never fitted one myself but others have and apparently they are very fragile and easily broken so take great care when fitting it. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile

Glass is on a plastic holder with a large circular 'clip' which holds it into the mirror housing.

tilt the mirror using the electrics, so you can get your fingers behind it - wear gloves to avoid glass injury

glass pops out with some resistance - you'll have the new one as a guide, so you'll be able to see how the clip works.

Disconnect the electrical connection for mirror heating.

Fit is reverse of removal.

Takes 5 minutes - or 15 minutes the first time when you have no idea how it works! 08 LR3 SE V8 - 02 D2 SE7 V8
