Looking Good Pelyma
Re the smell I didn't like the new car smell of my latest, thankfully it just stinks of Mud, Crud and dogs now it didn't take long
My temperature is reading high too, compared it to a D3 in a carpark earlier and mine said 17 his said 14. I wonder how this will effect the FBH kicking in automatically?

That's probably how they got the emissions down, by making the sensor read higher it never needs to turn on!D4 HSE Luxury SDV6,

a) Is it because I know its got Adblue and therefore I think it smells,
b) I am imagining it
c) Ive wet myself!

Adblue doesn't actually smell, so i'd rule out 'a', we have got a 1000 litre IBC for the tractors, also after this summer I have learnt not to put it in the diesel tank too, ENGINES DO NO LIKE ADBLUE!!!! wont be making that mistake again!

ISTR there was someone a while ago (when this D4 AdBlue malarkie started) was convinced that putting it in the fuel tank was worth a try, and wouldn't be convinced otherwise. I don't think it went too well.
It wouldn't do, I realised my mistake straight away, drained the tanks and refilled, ran perfect for 3 days, then began misfiring after being stood for a weekend. £8,500 later and its all repaired. New Injectors, Pump, Transfer Tubes, Filters + labour for removing tanks and washing out and all works! All from 3 or 4 litres!
What irritates me is that they put the fillers next to eachother on everything, why not put one on one side and one on the other!
Was told a story the other day where a digger driver needed to fill up with adblue and he rummaged around in the engine bay to find the hydraulic oil filler cap!!! and filled that up! that didn't go well either!
*Sorry for the thread hijack, lovely car by the way!!*
