Side steps at most £300, mud flaps, £50 off ebay.
Fitting is so simple it's untrue - even a klutz like me can do it.
Privacy tint is an absolute must in my opinion and I'd even go so far as to say it'd be a differentiator come sale time.
I've got aftermarket at the moment, was on it when I bought it and now needs redoing after wear and tear. So it's not as good and nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as the proper stuff and that's even when applied perfectly as mine was. MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

IF I were to stick with Land Rover products, the price quoted by Duckworths for the steps and flaps is £742 delivered. I realise these are discounted prices, but the quote I got this morning for supply and fitting would indicate a fitting cost of £450! Blimey! Strikes me as a collosal money spinner for the dealer!
I just don't think I would be up to fitting them myself, I am a DIY disaster and dismantling and cutting the sill covers of a £40k+ Discovery straight after delivery scares me to death.
Heard from the dealer this morning. All order forms have been received and am now just awaiting the update on build slot and delivery date. Discovery SE Tech Santorini Black - ordered for Sep/Oct!

Aftermarket tints are rubbish!
Get factory privacy, £400 you will never regret.
I put aftermarket side steps on my new 14MY and you cannot tell the difference between OEM apart from the fact they cost £120 and took me 2 hours to fit.

Then why not get one of the lads off here to fit them for you - you won't get ripped off and will probably get a better job
If you ask I'm sure someone over your way will be up for it.....perhaps Flack?

Still awaiting my delivery date!
Just another quick question, is it possible to retrofit leather armrests (HSE style) onto an XS (SE Tech) D4? Discovery SE Tech Santorini Black - ordered for Sep/Oct!

Anything is possible, but it's a hassle and a half. Some folk have done it on the D3. I seem to recall it involves some welding. Plus the HSE seat covers and construction are very different to the XS. I love the HSE seats; so much more comfortable. I'm dreading going back to my XS later in the year. PAGODA

Still not got a delivery date. I had an email from the admin staff in the dealership to say that it looked like it would be at the beginning of November now, the original date was early Oct. She asked whether I was happy with that (I am not) and I then asked what were my options. That was three weeks ago and I haven't heard since!
I need to make preps to sell the X5 - transfer my personal plate to retention etc, but it would be useful to know when I need to have it done by! Discovery SE Tech Santorini Black - ordered for Sep/Oct!
