Has anyone replaced the existing head unit of the car stereo with an aftermarket one. Looking to replace mine with the new one from Pioneer with built in blue tooth function and Ipod interface.
If so were new fascias and and loom adaptors available?

I have just seen my stereo head unit out of the car while the dealer was fitting the blue tooth phone unit and it looks so integrated with the rest of the vehicle that I would just use the accessory input for the Ipod and get bluetooth handsfree fitted. Near enough 40 degrees South!!!

I think it's absolutely nonsense that there is no aux in jack point in either the glove compartment or under the stereo unit next to ashtray / power socket. What on earth were LR thinking of?
Wiring instructions on this 'mod' are in this forum somewhere. I've not braved it myself yet! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles
