Lucky people ..

NFU wanted £2700 ...

Buisness and pleasure use , me and missus both late 30's , missus 6 points , me none.

Missus 8 years no claims ..me ...well theres the problem ..company car for 10 years .

1 theft from my company car in the last year , and brokers couldn't trace anything beyond 3 years .

Ended up with Land Rover £1100.

They have , however said i can have 3 years no claims as they expect a company policy to be "protected"

Just hoping for a accident free year , then try some were else with a 4 year no claims on board.

Proberly dosen't help living in Manchester. Sad

I've been with NFU for years with my van insurance. At last renewal, I looked at all the insurance providers in detail and looked into who offered off-road cover. There are only three - Land Rover's own, NFU and Adrian Flux.

However, the Adrian Flux policy didn't include the off-road cover in the policy detail and when I questioned this they said "that while the insurer doesn't cover off-road use, Adrian Flux do themselves as they are an off-road specialist". Fine I said, let me have your policy or statement of this in writing. They said "We can't as we have anything in writing". So while they say they cover off-road use, I suspect that it is just a marketing gimmick and you wouldn't be covered as the actual underwriting isn't covering it.

Therefore, it's just NFU or LR. I've found NFU good and I've heard plenty of good reports. Luckily I've never needed to claim, apart from windscreen repairs and replacements.
For me, NFU was cheaper.
