Good for a laptop, but still no nearer the perfect solution to all offroad trips: The ability to power this in the middle of nowhere:

The most power hungry part of this will be the 1.1Kw block heater for creating the hot water....replace that with a spare FBH/Webasto Thermotop and the remainder of the machine might, just might run on 300W...
I know you're not allowed to use a hand held mobile whilst driving; what's the legal position on brewing a damned fine cup of coffee at 70MPH and swigging from an espresso cup? I know the road safety adverts encourage coffee drinking to stay alert

Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir.. gently, and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak. And then you put in the milk....
Care to join me on Dragons' Den so we can pitch the idea?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

If you ever get that far think i might have to watch.
Never seen any of those get out of there chairs, so at 70 in a D3, drinking Nespresso?
I'd love to see Peter Jones squeaking in terror as HDC took over on an off-camber descent as I turn to serve him coffee.....I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Be good to see that Bannatyne bloke saying "WTF" (in his scottish accent) as you go down Geronimo, at Boughrood, serving an exquisite Volluto.

to increase that terror rating (because they deserve the best right?), how about getting all the lights/sounds/engine/suspension to shut down just as the coffee pump starts up Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

I'd be tempted, if only to see their faces
"We spotted a major gap in the market, whereby Disco3 drivers just don't have immediate access to a decent cup of coffee. We foresee selling between nine and ten of these units a year! For 100% equity, we're looking at £3.75Million. We chose the nespresso system because the noise the machine makes when puncturing the pod sounds almost exactly like driving a D3 over a Prius, and we knew that would appeal to our market."Dr. Ian Malcolm:

You know, you're right. The "kerrrump....hiss" of the pod being punctured and pressurised isn't far removed from the sound of D3 on Toyota, if my memory of Tuesday evening is correct.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
