Not sure if its Transmission fault or something else

Have Discovery 4 2012 SDV6 HSE with 76500 miles on the clock, I live up on a top of a hill, i start up the motor in the morning then into drive, come out on to the main road to go down the hill about half a mile, when descending its not braking on the auto box the revs stay near tickover, but when the car is up to temperture it seems ok. Had oil and filter change on gearbox 8 speed done mechanic says gearbox is fine after is test drive test, but still have the same problem there maybe alittle lack of torque when driving, had the car for 3 years has anyone gone any ideas.

Thankyou Pete

Hi grzesiul thankyou for replying. The garage had a look and test drove the car could`nt find anything wrong took a sample of oil from gearbox and said it looked dirty so they said about changing oil and the filter, did have oil and filter change done at Bristol transmissions 18 months previous because having seeing ZF saying about regular changing of oil to help gearbox life. By the way grzesiul first time i have used this garage and maybe the last, anyone know of good Landrover garage in Gloucestershire.

My D3 will do this at times , I just engage a lower gear manually to get the revs up and hold it in a lower gear
