D4 diagnostic software recommendations please
Hi,
I have a 2015 D4 SDv6 and am looking for a LR specific diagnostic software, something that offer access to all the modules on the vehicle (Engine ECU, TCM, ABS, Body etc).
I bought a 'Mangoose cable' and after wasting days and days installing different versions of JLR SSD software (157, 158, 160) with 'patches' I cannot get any of them to open and run on my 'Win10 Home' PC or 'Win10 Pro' laptop (Apple running bootcamp). I even my old 2011 Win XP Home edition PC but it didn't open either.
I've given up so am now looking for any other suggestions please.
Thanks

Hi MCT,
What do you want to do? If it’s reading / deleting codes and service items I’d recommend the Autel ap200, nice and cheep (around £50) and perfect for beginner / DIYer. If you want to do a lot more, such as modifying your ccf etc, most popular is the GAP iid, (around £400) it’s horses for courses.
Plenty of Iid experts on here that can give you the details on the Gap or do a forum search for either one, loads of posts on here.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Thanks Kevin, I see that GAP BT is £399 for a single VIN, it looks pretty comprehensive and what I'm looking for but it's a bit more than I was hoping to spend tbh.
I've also seen the BritCar Lynx Evo tool, has anyone tried this or have any feedback on advantages/disadvantages between the two? I'm only looking for a single licence on my D4.

Yargo, are you on Win10 Home or Pro edition?
Yes I'd appreciate a download link for a good SDD and patch version so I know i'm trying to install something that's tried and tested.
I always get lots of 'Side By Side' errors when I try to run any SSD version on my PCs, I'm sure its something fundamental that I've not got installed (or I've previously installed) thats causing my issues.
I've spent hours searching the errors and installing various software and updates to try and solve the error messages I get but nothing solves it.

Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

Are you using any special version of SDD? Can you share more details?
I also have the mongoose cable, but I'm using an old SDD version running on a windows xp virtual machine. It works perfectly, but I guess it would be great to use the latest version of SDD.

Not the true...
For example, when you upgrade the Navi, you need 2 - 3 hours with ignition ON....
LR Workshop suggest to charge the battery meanwhile, but you need a good 25A charger very stable.

Gap BT iid tool for me, does most things, will soon get the money back over ownership, plus you'll sell it at the end of using it.

Google "8.0.50727.762" and install the microsoft stuff and SDD will work, at least it did for me.
