When I go offroading it will be gravel and rocks most of the time and for sure it will rain sometimes.
I will also have to drive very far before offroading (the next allowed offroad area is more than 250 kms from here; one offroad tour I am going to do will be more than 1,000 km from where I live) and therefore like to have good onroad conditions. But as I said, the thing about the wet rocks sorted it for me because on my trips through mid-european mountains wet rocks and wet gravel will be the surface most driven on. 8)
And when I get stuck in the mud, I'll call my mate with his Defender and MTs, he will get me out! 2006 RRS TDV6 HSE, bonatti grey, rear diff lock, privacy, tasmods, stormers, etc.
Had my AT2's on for a few weeks now and I would have to say that I'm extremely impressed
I've stuck with 18" wheels so there was no chance of MTRs, but for the sort of driving I do (very rarely in mud) I would certainly think twice before going back to normal road tyres. As for not looking butch enough, they look a hell of a lot better than Wranglers or Scorpions. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
