P0251 Injection pump Restricted Performance
so the Disco went into restricted performance this morning. P0251-13 injection pump fuel metering control general electrical failure - circuit open came up under pending faults in the IID.
Any advice on what to look for with regards to fuses or loose connections or is it something more serious ?

Have a look at the engine live values, select Fuel Pressure Control Valve and Fuel Volume Control Valve. Take a screen shot of both at idle, and another at 2k RPM and post them here. Also check the elec connections on the pump. Beyond that it may be you need to change the fuel filter if its been for a prolonged period.
Edit: Fuel filter is unlikely culprit as the dtc refers to electrical circuit failure.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

The FVCV looks wrong to me, did that value change when you raised the rpm?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Inspect the connectors and wiring, test voltage with ign on and see what that brings.
I don't think you can buy a new VCV.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I think its the one at the bottom of the pump (small brass type) I believe the other (large black one) being the PCV. I don't think the VCV is available separately but if you can get at it you could try removing it and clean with brake cleaner. If removing, scrupulously clean around it with brake cleaner first and make sure nothing enters the pump. Test the connector and voltages first though!
I'm not a fan of fitting used components as I believe it to be a false economy. That said, for non critical components it might be worth a punt.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Hi, I have something similar on my 2016 SDV6 where it kicks out P0251 when the engine is hot, but you can reset the code when the engine is cold again. I have a scan gauge 3 so I can only see the P0251, no other details, any ideas?
