Painting brake callipers/hubs
Not trying to get ‘down wid da yoof’ just want to make some rather manky Audi raw casting brake callipers and rusty hubs look a bit tidier.....
Any recommendations on suitable paint and feasibility to do ‘in situ’. Nothing flash, likely grey/silver/black.
Anybody done similar?

A friend refurbished and painted the front callipers recently. I’ve not seen them, but he told me he’d just watched a load of YouTube videos on how to do it.
I think he used a spray can. Can find out the make if you like.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Did mine last year.
Just used brake cleaner spray, wire brush and Hammerite smooth.
Painted the callipers, hubs, disc outer edges and stone guard.
Black of course ...... any other colour on a D4 would be criminal.
Just added an LR oval logo in black/white to each calliper for that little extra touch.
Still holding up ok today when I snow foamed & pressure washed the D4...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Caliper and hub both done with hammerite, vehicle used every day in all conditions, still clean up nicely 👌

looks like I'll have to check the dates on the sprays/tins in my garage !
Looks like they're reformulating/rebranding as Hammerite Ultima ™ now.

Funny enough, decided to paint mine last week, going for discrete black:)
Ordered this kit which “should” be turning up today and got some white LR logo decals to fit once painted
