Are you sure you have the phone kit fitted (the button is on the dash even if it is not fitted)
Have you got the green and red phone buttons on the steering wheel?

Yes it can be retrofitted but it will not be as good as the factory install however it will be fully integrated with the D3. To Purchase the parts contact The Large One and you will get the forum discount and I would recommend 10forcash for fitting.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

I second that. I wish I had saved the money I spent on the D3 PTI and bought a Parrot. We have one in my wife's 118d and it works a treat. Full access to all number in a phone and voice dialling. It mutes the stereo and sound comes through the speakers.
The LR kit is very poor. You can't see the full entry and it seems to randomly selct an entry from the phonebook. This is a PITA as I sync my phone with Outlook and have multiple numbers stored against each entry.

Parrot all the way! I got an MK6100, absolutely ace. When I get a call, radio/cd etc mutes, sound comes through all speakers and the HI-FI displays "Phone Mode". Also automatically syncs phonebook to parrot without you doing anything, and also plays music through car hi-fi. Just press play on your phone and it automatically comes out through the car speakers.
Other day I was browsing youtube on my mobile with the car going, selected a vid and vid played with sound coming through the car speakers 8)
Totally seamless, get in, connects automatically ,get out, disconnects. £220 fully fitted....can't be bad!
