Picked Up The New D4
Picked up the new Disco yesterday and so far I am mightily impressed. Being 10 years younger and having covered 100k miles less it was always going to be a step up in refinement from my D3 but the car has evolved in those 10 years.
That said it shows what a great car the D3 still is, because whilst the D4 is quicker, tighter and more refined I'm sure most of that is down to the D4's 'Newness' as much as anything else. Anyway a few snaps taken today.

This colour interior sold it to me more than the Corris Grey exterior (which I also like) Really liked the contrast between the Ivory and Black, also the black carpets won't show the dirt so much whilst the Ivory gives the cabin a brighter outlook.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
The 8 speed is definitely an improvement over the 6 speed, the 2 extra ratios make the up changes far less noticeable, a more seamless operation. But I thought the original 6 speed was a great gearbox, the 8 speed is just a bit better.
I think the paddle gear shifts are a bit of a gimmick and I can't see myself using them very much.
Also the digital petrol gauge seems to come down too quickly I'm assuming it is just more accurate because the trip is still showing a fairly healthy range but it does seem to have got down to halfway rather swiftly!!Discovery 4 HSE
