Planning a trip to see the Northern lights in Norway |
|
Hi All
Myself and a few Landy friends are planning a trip to see the Norther Lights next January.
Nothing concrete yet, just discussion stage but we're open to sugestion and advice... in fact we're looking for it
Step 1: so far is get as far as Esbjerg from Dublin, and after that we're looking for advice on routes to take , and how far north is possible in January without getting silly, local advice and knowellege is really appreciated
One of the lads intends on travelling in his defender, two in D2's and some in D3's
dunno about the deafner in the cold
we looking to know about everything
fuel, oils, road conditions, accomodation options and the best ( cheapest ) way to do it without completely slumming it, ferrys, routes, reasonable limits to how far north without making it into a Shackleton trip
looking forward to some advice and comments
Regards
