Is that for the 180ps diesel, 5 cloth seats, halogens, coil susp, single speed box, manual tailgate? Basically the same as a DiscoSport which starts at < €40,000.

As well as calling it "supreme off road" it mentions prices, tax stuff & two 2.0l Diesel engines in this independent ( not Landrover) Irish Times report.

The same happens here, Spain, a totally basic finish over € 56,000 .... I do not think they will sell many.... the truth lost in translation!

So I duly use the "Build your Own" feature on the Land Rover Ireland website to formulate a specification of a Discovery 5, and send it off via email to a franchised dealer in Wexford, asking them to quote me a price and delivery date etc.
That was over a week ago and I have yet to receive any response whatsoever.....
So I don't see many Discovery 5 models being sold in Ireland this year, if that's the way things are heading! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Basic S price in Austria is 56,950 SE is 59,700 HSE is 69,200 and HSE Lux is 76,600, not that I will be buying one anyway. 
Spoke to our local dealer and they have received one order so far, they said the majority of people who have Discovery's are changing to the F-pace. 2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

Base 2.0l TD4 S is 52kEUR and HSE is 58kEUR in Hungary. 3.0l TD6 SE is 62kEUR and HSE is 66kEUR.
I am switching to Audi Q7 which is 3.5kEUR cheaper with the same options. LR D3 S Black, Auto TDV6

I can get a Nissan Pulsar with nearly all the technology and options that come with the D5 (OK without the 4WD system) for under €25K......
And it's built in Britain too!
Sad times, very sad times. Land Rover have got it so wrong this time around. The Discovery 5 is quite simply, too expensive for what it is. And LR are going to lose a lot of customers as a result. 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

How cheap.
In DK the cheapest start at 120.929 Euros for a 2.0L TD4 S Automatic
The "First edition" starts at 202.566 euros for a TD6
The cheapest TD6 SE starts at 142.034 euros  2007 D3 2.7 SE Automatic
