Radio Volume issue ?

My problem appears to be the opposite of the common issue of no sound from the radio. Since having the D3 for 3 months, on 4 occasions when unlocking the vehicle the radio goes full volume and the only way to stop it is to open the door and either turn down the volume or push the button to switch it off. Can't get my head round the connection between the central locking and radio volume !

Any help ?

Sounds like your AMP under the drivers seat is faulty.
I had the very same problem

I eventually changed the amp and since then no further problems

Hi, thanks for your reply. Just phoned my other half tonight and whilst driving the car to work this morning with normal radio volume it went full blast and she has told me she wont be driving it again until its fixed ! Took 3 attempts to turn off via the on/off/volume button.

Sea Raider : did you manage to get your amp repaired or pick up a second hand amp with a warranty ?

I think you can pull a fuse out behind the glovebox so stop the radio.
