IIRC, LR have an official 2012 disc available that'll set you back
a small fortune or check out the likes of Amazon or Ebay for
aftermarket discs.
I've had a 2015 disc in mine with no issues
for 2 years.

One other thing that I'd like to point out is that this site
does not condone the sale of counterfeit discs for the LR Satnav.
LR do not officially have anything past 2012 and have basically
washed their hands of older LR users as far as the satnav is concerned
and there has been some discussion on here on this very subject and
I get where the site operators are coming from so I doubt anyone
will actually give you a specific recommendation for a new disc but
they are easy to come by and work with out issue (certainly in my case)
and I can't see that LR are out of pocket in any way as they no longer
support the DVD systems as far as updated discs.
Shame on LR.

thanks for your help, i was thinking of the eBay route, and as jaguar and landrover are much the same as for a lot of parts i just thought maybe the discs were usable in discos as they seem to be a bit cheaper. hope i haven't broken any rules as I'm new to using this site. discovery 300 tdi....gone.

Dragging this one back up from last year.....
Same question really, anybody know what the latest available version is, there's a guy on the bay selling 2014-15, anybody know if there has been a release since that?
Cheers

Due to restrictions on the site (understandable) I can't point you to a specific site. But there are 2017/2018 discs out there if you look at sites other than ebay....
BUT to be honest, even though I run a later disc with no issues from the "grey" market, I rarely if ever use it. Google maps on the phone is so much better, more accurate, easier to use, more detailed traffic rerouting etc etc. Spend the money on a decent phone holder and go that way instead. I certainly have no intention of updating the built in one again.

Save yourself some money and use the Googlemaps phone app, or if you use satnav a lot get a Tomtom. The LR satnav is c p and the maps, even the 'up to date' ones, are well out of date.

I just got my D3 a few months and the SatNav DVD was from 2007, so pretty dated.
ordered a new disc,
Worked fine for me, all new streets in our neighourhood were on it, and it took me to Austria last week without any issues

Bought the updated usb stick for my 2012 Disco. It did take the three hours they said it would take to update. Tried it on the way home from work today and very impressed with it advising you of what is going to happen from further-out than before. Not cheap to buy but does make using the satnav less frustrating!! moles

I bought a sat nav disc from amazon last year I think it was 2017. It did work, but it did stop the voice control, and you couldn’t use the aux input for music. Random but not a huge issue. Can’t anybody work out how to connect a modern sat nav to work through the screen?
