Rear pads / disks and the EPB

My rear pads are coming up for a change and I'm considering renewing the disks while I'm there (not sure of the minimum thickness - any one help on that?). I'm not a great one for paying dealer prices for jobs I can do at home.

However, I'm a little concerned if changing the rear disks is truly a DIY job (although I've done the front without problem).

My concern is around the EPB - does just changing the pads / disks impact on this? Would this be a good time to clean (and adjust) the EPB? - especially since I'm getting some screeching following Tong last weekend.

Or is the EPB a black art that should be left alone to dealers? I can follow clear instructions but the ones I've read so far go on about plugging in diagnostic kit etc.

All advice gratefully received.

Changing the discs will require the EPB to be adjusted, think the min. thickness is ~17mm - the actual min. value is stamped on the disc hub... not too bad a job, I can give you a quote if you want Thumbs Up
