I have fitted some of mine today ...not finished yet though .

Its working thats the main thing . Big thanks to Andy and Andrew for there part in my installation Bow down

Some random shots ...

I cant say i have been that impressed with the Logic 7 stereo in my car ..well i mean it dosent seem that much better than my old hi-line one in my previous D3...but the sound on the DVD is fantastic ..it needs to be heard to be believed ...

Going to put the picture in motion module back in so i can listen while moving aswell ..

Oh ..and for those who may have noticed ..the software on my screen is from a FFRR ( just in case it looked different than yours ) ..but thats a different project Whistle

Fantastic!!
It is frustrating not being able to do those things!
Anybody who would do that for me for a cost?

Well done Adrian, Very Happy

The software is different to mine - why?

Is it supposed to be better?

Thanks
Andrew

A few pics of my install

This is what i didnt want to happen ...the RSE unit is touching my radio charger

I then had to move the charger over to clear the RSE unit

Fitted here now

Can anybody with the RSE check a couple of things for me

1 , does the dvd player check the 6 disks every time you start the car
2 , does the dvd player not continue from the last place ..ie ..starts from the beggining

Seems daft as my £60 dvd player resumes from were it was last watched .

Hi Adrian,

The player only 'checks' the discs when I have taken the magazine out.

The player starts from the previous point unless you press theb stop button twice. In which instance it starts again from the beginning.

Sounds like you havent got a 12v constant feed.

Hope that helps.
Thanks

Andrew

Could be the problem

I ran the wires down to pin 1 and pin 12 in the drivers footwell connector .

I may have them wrong at the dvd / rse unit end ...i will swap them round

Wow what a great thread. Bow down Bow down Bow down Bow down

It is something i have been contemplating.

Does anyone know a good place to start sourcing parts for this?

It looks excellent.

Thanks

Thanks Phil
