I wouldn't have anyone but BRS work on my electrical system either.
Fact is, its convenient for me, 'cos they are not very far away. But if you don't mind coming up to JHB, its definitely the best option. Karl knows his stuff, and will tell you straight what can and can't be done safely on the vehicle.
LR Midrand not sure who is approved for fitment yet, but Nico said he will try find out.
I suspect Tino would be, and probably also BRS. They both do quality work

On the exact opposite side to where the main battery is, ie. in front of the driver. If you open the lid you will see an empty space with a couple of silver pipes. Only a 70Ah battery fits in there that's why we don't get the option of a 100Ah.

I put a Optima yellow top 55 AH in mine . Although it is only 55 AH you can discharge it to a 100 % with gives you more than the recommeded 50 % discharge on a deltec 70 AH. They also recharge a lot quicker and will accept whatever the alternator gives them . They are just king expensive

As Rob mentioned it’s only a 70Ah battery and fits neatly next to ABS system.
Since the initial installation i have fitted 25mm cables to a Brad Harrison plug at the back for charging the two 105Ah batteries in the commander.
