United Kingdom 2012 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4
[For Sale] F/S D4 HSE Luxury Launch Edition (MY12, 1 owner, 88k)

******************
HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!
******************

Off the Land Rover Garage, to be more exact. The car now has 12 months of MOT and its 12-month annual service. So it is in even better shape now than it was already!

Get it while it's hot! Smile

******************

A Sad Day Has Arrived...it is time to say goodbye to our single owner, 88,000 miles, D4.
After almost 12 years of our fantastic Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Special Edition, the time has come to move on. I bought the car as one of the first 300 Special Edition HSE Luxury launch cars. You can see the original spec sheet attached.

The car has never wanted for anything and has been covered by the Land Rover Warranty, Land Rover extended warranty and is still (until the 9th of September) covered under the Land Rover Select Warranty. In addition, anything the car has ever needed that wasn't covered by warranty, we made sure it got. We have loved and cherished this car. I've owned a fair few Land Rovers, but this was one of the best. It didn't make the same noise as my P38 4.6 V8 Petrol. But then again, my Disco never missed a beat. The same can't be said for some of my previous Land Rovers.

Photos
We have just returned from a 2-week road trip, so the car is not ready for photos. I will do a quick wash and add some pictures to the listing. I have some recent photos but rest assured, the car has been looked after.

Plate
The car has a non-year plate on it from the registration. It is LR04 LUX (Land ROver d4 LUXury). I only mention it as some people comment that it looks amazing for a 04 car! Smile If you feel like you want to put a 12-plate on it, the DVLA will happily take £150 for the privilege.

When I bought the car, I added a few bits I felt were missing.

    - Side steps
    - Non-Land Rover Tracker
    - Spare Wheel Theft protector (based on bad experience)
    - Removable tow bar

The has had a full Land Rover Main Dealer Service History since new. Every job that needed to be done was done. Some recent highlights are listed below. Its last Land Rover Main Dealer service was completed today (5th September 2023).

    - New brake disks and pads (Jun 23)
    - New suspension front arms (Jun 23)
    - DPF Regen (Jun 23)
    - New steering rack (Jun 23)
    - Water Bottle Replacement due to faulty sensor (May 23)
    - Brand new OEM Key Fob (Mar 23)
    - New air conditioning compressor and full system test (Sep 22)
    - New DRL Module (Sep 22)
    - 160,000 miles big service @ 82,000 miles (Sep 22)
    - New tyres at 82,500 miles (Aug 22)
    - New Osram HID bulbs fitted (Sep 22)

MOT
The car has an MOT until September 2024.

Other Bits
I have some other bits that I will likely be putting up as ads separately. However, they could be included with the car if the price was right.

    - OEM rubber mat
    - OEM 400L roof box
    - ORM aero crossbars (VPLCR0131)
    - Cargo mat
    - Waterproof seat covers
    - Dog Gate with divider

HSE Luxury Special Edition Details
In case you are not familiar with this particular car, here is a little bit about what makes it special.

The HSE Luxury Edition is based on the 3.0L SDV6 188kW (255hp)
It comes in Santorini Black exterior in Ebony Windsor leather interiors with a contrast stitch. An extended leather pack which includes a Windsor leather upgrade to door tops, armrests
and door pulls and the fascia topper is also introduced.
It also brought the introduction of a distinctive and contemporary new Dark Zebrano veneer, which gives the interior a dramatic premium highlight.

HSE Luxury Exterior Design Treatment
    • Colour keyed grille mesh
    • Indus Silver grille surround and fender vents. The grille treatment is the opposite colour
    combination to the current vehicle.
    • Titan Silver bonnet script and tailgate badge
    • Noble plated (bright) mirror caps
    • Full-length Silver roof rails
    • 20” 10-split spoke alloy wheels in Sparkle Silver
    • Body colour door handles
    • Stainless Steel rear bumper tread plate
    • Bright finishers to door bottoms and tailgate appliqué

HSE Luxury Interior Design Content
    • Perforated leather heated steering wheel in Ebony with bright switch tips (from Range Rover
    Sport Autobiography)
    • Twist pile luxury carpet mats with contrast edging

In addition to the design features listed above, the HSE Luxury specification came with a number of standardised features in order to present a fully featured luxury derivative.
    • Front centre console cooler box
    • 825 Watt Harman/Kardon® Logic 7® Surround Sound audio system
    • Hybrid TV
    • Rear Screen Entertainment with 8” screens and wireless headphones featuring Whitefire®
    technology
    • Privacy Glass

Timed Climate with optional Remote
    • The Timed Climate feature (previously known as Park Heating) has been improved to include a seven-day timer operated via the vehicle's touch-screen display. The seven-day timer allows for the personalisation of the vehicle’s climate settings.

Infotainment System
    • ICE is increased from 9 speakers and 240W to 11 speakers and 380W.
    • Premium LOGIC 7 ICE
    • Both systems are available independently of the HDD Navigation System.
    • Both feature A Single-slot slot CD player with MP3 capability.
    • Full control of the audio system features via the revised touchscreen.
    • Compatibility with DVD Audio and MP3 DVD playback.
    • Virtual CD Auto Changer function, which allows for up to 10 CDs to be downloaded to the hard-
disc drive in an uncompressed, lossless format. The hard disc is equipped with Gracenotes so
that CDs and tracks can be identified and stored.
    • Portable Audio Connectivity allows streaming and controlling audio files from iPod and USB.
Apple iPod connectivity is achieved using the standard iPod USB lead, which plugs directly into one of the two USB ports beneath the centre console lid.

Rear Seat Entertainment and WhiteFire Headphones
    • A single-slot DVD drive is situated in the audio head unit, so the driver or front passenger conveniently loads the disc from within the cabin. Previously, a 6 DVD Changer had been located in one of the rear-quarter panels accessed from the luggage compartment.
    • Screens are 8” and housed in re-shaped front seat headrests
    • The audio is delivered by two pairs of wireless WhiteFire headphones. WhiteFire is a standard for the delivery of uncompressed audio data to achieve the highest quality sound. The WhiteFire system can also deliver more than one audio channel simultaneously.
    • The system can be controlled by the remote control.
    • The RSE system allows the display and connection of game consoles and video playback of MP4
files stored on USB is also possible.

I would love our car to go to a good home. She has been looked after and deserves someone who will continue to keep our amazing-looking car in the style and care it has become used to.

Please feel free to ask any questions, as I would much rather sell it to one of you fine people than someone on the general InterWebNet!

£16,500 for a quick sale.

Take care

Warren

Just for info, you can no longer transfer the road tax. It has to be bought by the new owner on date of transfer.

When you notify DVLA of the sale they will automatically refund the balance of the RFL from the following month.
A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

Hi Ruffy

I am likely to sell all the bits in the “Other bits” section of the ad to someone on here, rather than leave them in for a random auto trader buyer.

    - OEM rubber mat
    - OEM 400L roof box
    - ORM aero crossbars (VPLCR0131)
    - Cargo mat
    - Waterproof seat covers
    - Dog Gate with divider
    - Removable tow bar

The dog gate is big and comes in two parts. How are you fixed for collection from Twickenham?

I will drop you a PM about the dog gate when I get home.

I will get ads sorted out for the others ASAP.

Hi,

not sure if you are aware but you can get an MOT done a month early and not lose the current date,
so you could get it done now and expiry would be 1 year and 2 weeks rather than just 2 weeks,
it would probably look more inviting to a buyer Knowing if anything was highlighted during the MOT and you would have more time to get any warranty sorted.

Thanks @riverblanche!

That is a great idea. I will see if I can get that done.

Good news. I got the car washed and managed to get in some rushed photos. It's not my best work, but it does give you a good view of the car in its normal state of dress.
