You can legally drive the car to and from "a pre-booked appointment at an MOT testing station" in order to get an MOT, it does however have to be insured... there are many websites offering short term insurance cover for this purpose but bear in mind that the car will also need to be insured for anyone test driving it (even on their own insurance) unless they have a traders policy or similar.
Hope that makes it easier to get it MOT'd. I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
