Looks like a nice tidy D3 - once the EPB is sorted I imagine it'll get through an MOT no bother.
But... hell's teeth, is that all they're worth these days? I've got a D3 HSE of the same age, very similar mileage, similar diligent maintenance routine - was thinking a few months ago about maybe selling it on and getting a D4, but if that's all I can realistically expect it to make then I guess I'm going to hang on to it and keep it going until it can't go any more!

Thanks Gareth,
It's a great car and has been looked after very well.
But I've priced it to sell quickly ... so I would expect you could get more for yours.Chris

Have you still got this , i'm looking for one at beginning of April (when mot on my ancient D2 runs out and it's rechassis time), not a million miles away as in Leeds. More concerned about underbody corrosion (lack of prefereably) than sorting a few mechanical issues as i may well be keeping it a lot of years (had D2 for 16 and FFR for 8).
Cheers

Hi.
Yes, still have the D3.
The chassis looks to be age-appropriate for a 2009 car. Obviously, there is some surface rust on the chassis but no structural issues or anything that needs attention. It’s never been off road or in water. Only been used on the road.
I’ve also checked the last MOT certificate. No corrosion issues identified.Chris

I think you would definitely sell it with 12 months ticket on it.
Well I'd certainly be interested.

Hi @nbunney,
I understand your thinking. It would certainly make the car more attractive to buy. And now the EPB handbrake is working, I see no reason why it would fail an MOT.
It has no Tax or Insurance so I'll need a cost effective solution to get it to a testing station.
But that’s why my original asking price of £2,400 is so low. It takes into consideration the handbrake fault (now fixed) and the expired MOT.
