Afternoon all. I've had the same problem with my 07 D3. The Nav all works fine except the arrival time. If I set it to you t down its fine, the clock on the radio is fine, the GPS signal connects (a bit slowly perhaps) but all else is spot on. I've tried the battery off and on, a new disc and even touching the terminals, but it just leaves a dash for the ETA, asthough the clock is not set. Can anyone help???

I do wonder if there is a button battery or similar somewhere like there is in Laptops to preserve the settings. These fail with age on laptops and they lose the time.

the issue is eventually due to the GPS week format issue (the week field was designed to small and "ended" in April). Apparently GPS still running since April work fine, but once loose power due to disconnecting the battery the GPS can no longer decode the correct date & time.

A similar issue existed on some other GPS devices (i.e: Garmin) and was typically resolved by firmware upgrades.

Disco3 GPS - no ETA due to GPS Week Rollover bug

Did anyone happen to find a solution? The same GPS Week rollover bug is affecting several other vendors (ie. Garmin / BMW Navigator 5) but could be fixed with updated firmware.

Mine has had power dropped several times since April with no ill effects (not that I use it often but happened to use it the other day and noticed I had an ETA). The only thing I can think of was that I purchased a "non genuine" map disc from an internet supplier a year or so ago and when I installed it the first thing that happened was that it did a software update on the satnav, maybe that also included a fix for the issue?

Is there a way to check the software “version” - I can’t recall.

Any news on this one from anyone?
I'm from Italy and I have the same problem.
Battery was disconnected to be replaced and ETA doesn't work anymore.

sat nav ETA cure

I found a solution to the sat nav fault, which mine had lost ETA time. when removing fuse box unit and unplugging to change LHS front sunroof drain and obviously the battery was disconnected as well. When all are refitted the sat nav must have lost all power as it took a few hours to extinguish GPS lost icon in top LH corner. BUT when I used the sat nav next day the ETA time had returned. coincidence ! Not sure but it solved the fault Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Jabba,

Are you sure it is the ETA and not the remaining travel time? I had the battery disconnected and that did no help to bring back the ETA on the SATNAV...

no ETA on D3 sat nav

I had same issues and lived with it. UNTIL I replaced the LH side sunroof drain pipe.
disconnected the battery AND the fuse board to get to the wing pipe (pain of a job).
After reconnection wiring and battery, the ETA returned? maybe its something to do with the fuse box as already tried a hard reset!!!

no ETA on D3 sat nav

I had this appear! and lived with it. but when I removed the passenger side fuse box to change the dreaded sunroof pipe leaking, when is was all reconnected the ETA came back?
maybe worth a try . doing the battery reset did not do anything.

Sat Nav ETA missing

My D3 did this for no apparent reason ! I tried all sorts, hard reset etc. But it only returned AFTER I had to remove the fuse box on passenger side to replace a leaking sunroof drain pipe. So I assume disconnecting all the plugs from the rear of the fuse box reset the sat nav!

Wouldn't removing the fuse 53 or 58 do?
