The best place IMHO to see Golden Eagles is the road across the Flow Country from Kinbrace to Syre. Pick a spot and sit back and watch the skies!

Unfortunately, the Golden Eagle at Dunrobin Castle is no more- it is an ex eagle!

Whilst the weather isn’t great, you can still guarantee great sunsets. Took these over the past few days.

In 40 years, I’ve seen one particularly vivid Northern Lights. Other times, I’ve seen them, it’s been like a town glow orange where I know there’s no town.

As regards the Milky Way, even with some street lights, but looking away from them, you’ll see a great display if its clear. Thumbs Up

The ex golden eagle was there a couple of months ago. One was sitting in the pens at the back wall in the garden.

Oh, the castle, is it Mey Castle? Haven’t seen it from that angle before.

Victor the sea eagle is a fairly common, though very impressive, sight over the Glenelg Ferry. Smile

Haven’t been to high lands since 1976, but last year had a very good experience on the M20 services Maidstone chatting with a guy and his golden eagle sitting on the picnic tables
