It’s a local’s thing, they always say “you should have been here last week”.

Well not a bad morning. This was taken about 07.00 this morning.
Plans today are to walk round the headland to Tarbet Ness lighthouse. Will be about a 10 mile loop so not too bad.

Might take you up on that if you haven’t got blown off the cliffs. The rain isn’t far away too. Haven’t planned the day!
As for the weather remark - it is Scotland we are talking here! It’s normally cold, wet and windy!

Yeah we will get wet at some point. We both treated ourselves to new waterproof jackets so in a strange way we sort of want it to rain, but not too much D4 MY15 SE TECH

From your cottage. If you look due east, the further most hill you can see on the coastline is by Buckie and Cullen.
If you are walking round Tarbet Ness. To the north you should be able to see the coastline up to Helmsdale and Berridale Braes.
Plenty of places to visit. Worth the crack is going to Nigg. 100 years before the silly mini roundabout at the end by the hotel, you will see a track/road to the left. It goes up the hill. Take that and go up to the top, it’s very steep, but you will get great views over the Cromarty Firth.

Well a couple of boxes ticked.
Yesterday we saw a seal bobbing up and down in the waves. It was only the head but a seal nonetheless. Then this morning a pod of dolphins swam right past our cottage. Must have been 10-15 of them and some even leaping clear of the water. Amazing D4 MY15 SE TECH
