Sounds like another definete advantage....mine seems to attract car door swingers like flies. Had yet another one recently and as I was having a particularly bad day I decided to leave the culprit a "thank you" note. Unfortunately I had no pen or paper, so I improvised......left the note on his drivers side door.....found that the D3 key got down to bare metal very easily . As for the steps, if I can get the anodised/powder coated, I think I'll be going for the Kingsley brand through ARB.

Did you resolve the best Side Step solution? Genuine or After-Market?
I was originally not a fan but both access for the kids and to help clean the thing has me wondering if they would be useful.

Although I no longer have the disco I went for the aftermarket Kingslys! Only took a few hours to fit and looked quite nice. For my liking they appeared more intergrated than the LR "wings".....also made a huge difference for SWMBO and the grommets gaing access!!
