Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any opinions/advice/ideas regarding side steps for the Disco. Have looked at the LR ones and not too keen on them (or the price ). The gromets and SWMBO (all 5' 1" of her ), are having issues gaing "access"......even in access mode!!! I have also checked out ARB, who have some built by Kingsley....does anyone know of any others on the market??

On holiday earlier this year I saw someone use a plastic step (like you have for getting into caravan doors) to help get the kids in, he just kept it in the boot and took it out when he needed it. A very cheap and effective solution.

Ahh! my solution probably isn't for you then
My D3 came with LR steps already fitted and I have to say I can take or leave the looks, but for practicality they are excellent. I have 4 people under 5' 1" and even at off road height they can still clamber aboard.
Also here is the milestone flag for my post above.

The other issue is also the price. Genuine LR steps $1690 (AUD), ARB aftermarket jobbies $700

They are spoilt with the D3. Borrow a Landcruiser and watch them clamber in and out. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

When I park my Disco (with steps) I raise the suspension to offf road... if anyone in an ordinary car opens their door against you, the hit the steps. Saved me a couple of times so far!
Cheers
