I think using it to see where you can save is great , my son lives in a tin tent in the garden and we know when it’s cold and he’s got the :censored:ing. Heater on , and we’ve changed all the ground floor lighting in the house and that’s been well worth it
On a general quiet day we use around £3.50 -£4.50 ish , on a busy weekend day it can be £6 - £7.50 per day

One of the main business cases for Smart Meters is not only to pave the way for surge pricing to try and spread demand but also to allow for future mobile billing, i.e. when we are all driving electric vehicles and you need to charge your motor at your mate's house etc. You can put it on your own bill. You won't only have access to what you pay for at your own house.
