Smth clanks in the back :( |
|
Yeah, I know - welcome to the club
Anyway, after just first 600 km and a few runs thru deep snow I've just discovered that something clanking in the back, in the area of 5th door. I can't located exact source of it and it happens only on a big bumps...
Removed everything from the trank, so it isn't a bag or a tool there. It is not a spare wheel as well.
Any ideas what it would be? How 5th door sounds if it came loose (though shaking of it doesn't show any loose)?
I sure will visit a dealer but I'm sure they will drive with me to listen to this boring clanks...

make sure the cable holding the spare tyre is tight.
There may be movement under the car from the spare.

could be the dynamic damping weights behind the rear bumper, particularly if it's on severe bumps

seems like it was spare tyre... Didn't do anything but made rather speedy ride over bumps (cubes covering tram rails, like 500 m) - clank is gone...
Will get this weel off later, want to be sure that was exactly the reason.

Could be a loose tailgate strut. See the Announcement above.

Thanks for suggestions.
Have checked tailgate struts -both are fine, voted in a separate thread.
Plastic pieces are ok too, still have some factory greese, but will watch them closely
