Do any of you chaps know of high quality snow chains that will fit 255/55/19 MTR's. As dont wont to have to go out and buy more tyres. Need them for the Croisiere Blanc 2009

Mines !
Have a look on my gallery, these are the Konig Polar S in 5,7mm.
Buyed last year for the Croisiere (http://www.offroadattitude.com/new/produit/fiche_prod.php?id=1844&maxi), used only 2 days. No dammage at all. The're like new.
I suppose 300£ it's a good price for the two pairs even without the transport.
If you know anyone to get each other closer... I think we can find Santa Claus here !
Cheers.
Axel.

I have 2 sets of Pewag chains, not had to fit them yet. Is it advisable to use spacers to improve clearance. Would this upset any electronics, load sensors etc. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Spacers, yes.
No problems with the electronics.
Pretty certain TFC's chains fit MTR's - they seemed to fit everyting on the try-out day at TBR Disco 5 HSE Lux

I tried BCB's chains on my MTR's & they wouldn't fit. Just that bit too small. They also were'n/t listed to fit on the tyre size card either.
AXL's versions were pretty meaty & had an 'extra' three links across the tyre all the way around which seemed to give some improved grip. They were loose, so could lose their snow/ice a bit easier ISTR. Bodsys Brake Bible

I thought BCB also had MTRs, or did he run Coopers ??
Edit : just checked the photos and he had STTs as did I. Used PEWAG chains to fit 245/70 R17. Also fitted wheel spacers.
If you fit wheel spacers make sure you tighten them up when you get there, or fit them there. I fitted mine in the UK and by Day two all 4 were loose and needed to be tightened Duncan
